Important information from Parents Association:School Spirit Store
On the 15th of every month, all students and faculty are invited to celebrate by wearing Our Lady Star of the Sea School colors, a school team uniform, or an item from our school spirit store. Be sure to place your order from the school spirit store by the 25th of each month to get it in time for the big day! Just a friendly reminder that all spirit store sales are final – no returns or exchanges. As part of our fundraising efforts, we're happy to offer a variety of delicious lunch options for your children through Supreme Italian Market! Students and faculty can enjoy various hot and cold selections throughout the week. On Thursdays, pizza from Dough by Licastri is the featured lunch item. This year, our class is excited to read with Scholastic Book Clubs! It’s a great way to build up your child’s book collection at home and help them improve their reading skills. And when you shop with Clubs, your orders earn points I can redeem for books and other classroom supplies we need.
Here’s how it works: I’ll send home throughout the year. If you decide to place an order, you can do that through our class ordering page. Your books will arrive at school about 10 days after I submit our classroom order.
By teaming up with Scholastic, we’ll help your child become a more confident, independent reader—and we’ll build a classroom library all of my students are excited to explore!

Homework
Please make sure that your child is always starting all letters and numbers from the top. It is very hard to break the habit of writing letters and numbers incorrectly.
Please use pencils only for all writing and crayons for coloring.
-Homework is due by Friday.
-Names: Trace names on the first line then have your child try to write their name on the line below it. (Trace, try, trace, try)
-Number 6 in number book.
-Letter Ff in alphabet book.
-Chicka Chicks Boom Boom letter Ff.
-Sight word "is" sight word book.
-"Aa-Ee" writing practice (4 times each).
-"1-5" number writing practice (4 times each).
-Rhyming worksheet .

-PLEASE WEAR SNEAKERS EVERY DAY INCLUDING DRESS DOWN DAYS.
Also a reminder that reading books to your child is so important at this age. Even if you let your older child read to them. It will benefit both children. Complete the book reading log and they can go in the treasure chest.
